OCM is a trading company specializing mainly in natural fibers.
Sisal, Abaca, Kenaf, Jute, Coir, Kapok, and various other natural fibers are used in many areas of people’s lives and these natural resources are essential to our daily life.
We use natural fibers from non-wood plants grown all over the world, and provide them as raw materials for a wide variety of products. These non-woods grow very fast, and thus contribute significantly to the absorption of carbon dioxide. Also non-wood plants help reducing the impact on the global environment.
We consider the total supply chain from the birth of raw materials to their transformation into finished products and their disposal. Engaging in its business by considering how our social activities can be harmonized and developed together with global environment.
Many of the non-wood plants are grown in regions where the standard of living is below the global average. We believe that promoting the use of natural fibers in a wider range of fields can help achieving the first goal of the SDGs, which is to "eliminate poverty".
