Sisal Fiber

Sisal is mainly grown in East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Madagascar) and Brazil. In Japan, sisal fiber is processed and used to make carpets for offices and residences, core ropes for wire ropes used in elevators, and reinforcement material for paints.

Abaca fiber, so called Manila hemp, is grown mainly in the Philippines and Ecuador. Abaca fiber is very strong and has been used as a raw material for paper and rope in Japan since ancient times. In recent years, the technology of paper yarn production has advanced, and has begun to be used for shoes [ORIGAMIX] and textile fabrics.

Jute & Kenaf Fiber

It is mainly grown in Bangladesh and India. Jute & Kenaf fiber has a long history, and has been widely used in Japan as jute bags for storing rice. Today, it is also used as a greening material, a building material, and an interior material for automobiles.

Coir fiber

It is mainly grown in Sri Lanka and Indonesia. Coconut fiber is widely used in Japan as a greening material for slopes, rivers, and other greening purposes.

Pulp business

The non-wood pulp we handle is manufactured at SPMI Group in the Philippines. Natural fibers are processed to pulp, and pulp is processed to paper. The raw materials, which are transformed from natural fibers to pulp to paper, are used in various fields such as banknotes, insulating papers, filters, and textile fabrics.
