Iwatani served as a director of Matsushita Electric Industrial Company, known as PANASONIC, chairman of Matsushita Electric Industrial Company of America, director of the Global Strategy Institute, and advisor to Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd. He has also established SIMEON CONSULTING GROUP to nurture the next generation.
